First up, we’re proud to announce yet another truly impressive performance in the G2 Software Awards for winter 2022. These accolades mean so much to us, as they’re a direct recognition from the people that matter most - our customers. And it’s a real testament to the entire team that we’ve been a leading name in these awards for the best part of three years now.
This year’s list of badges is by far the best to date, and includes top rankings in:
Not to mention easiest admin, easiest set-up, easiest to use, and a host of user reviews that show how dedicated our team is to top class customer service. A big shout out to people like Carlus and Glen, that have really shined in customer feedback.
There've been a lot of valuable additions to our integration library this year. A primary focus at REVIEWS.io is enabling brands to build powerful tech stacks - maximising the tools they use by ensuring they all work seamlessly together.
A couple of key solutions we’ve introduced this year are:
Weglot - this is a really valuable tool for any brand with an international audience. It means reviews displayed in widgets can be automatically translated to the reader’s preferred language. We’ve even used it ourselves, translating our blog to better support our DACH market.
TrustedSite - the REVIEWS.io + TrustedSite integration helps brands bring greater trust to the customer experience by combining authentic reviews with security certifications - ultimately driving conversions.
You’ll also now find integrations with the following:
We’ll be adding to this list in 2022, with Active Campaign, and DotDigital integrations already in the making.
Despite challenges brought about by the pandemic, we’re thrilled to have seen exceptional year on year growth - and we’ve reinvested that success into making our solution even more powerful.
2021 saw the introduction of our new dash. We found that as we developed more and more innovative features, it caused some friction on the dashboard side, so we gave the whole thing a makeover to create an intuitive, user-friendly interface (including a mobile friendly version).
As part of this, we introduced perhaps our biggest and most exciting update in the form of Flow. This automation tool gives brands the power to create more effective review collection strategies.
Communications can be built around conditional sending triggers so, for example, you can automatically request video content from a 5* reviewer, or perfect invitation timing by setting delays according to geographical location. It’s proved really powerful in helping brands collect more quality UGC, and build stronger relationships through personalisation.
We’ve not forgotten about publication either. The start of the year saw the rollout of our new product review widget and most recently, we launched our updated and much improved floating widget. This highly popular publishing tool now supports third party reviews, image and video content, customer and product attributes, review translation, and much more besides.
If you’re a Shopify store owner, you’ll know 2021 saw its biggest update too. You’ll find REVIEWS.io is the perfect fit for Shopify 2.0, with the same frictionless, no code design, and a range of innovative features that compliment its capabilities.
To round off our 2021 updates, it’s worth mentioning Social Proof. Though not a new feature, as one of our most popular tools we’re constantly tweaking it for ease of use, so brands can take even greater value from the review content they collect.
As a leading tech company in the Midlands, it was important for us to create a workspace that supported our growth, so we spent time converting a dusty old building into an open, collaborative environment we’re now proud to call the REVIEWS.io office.
It’s a space where all our teams - from sales and support to development and marketing - can come together to drive innovation, as well as a hub for events that’ll bring added value to all our customers.
And of course, we can’t talk about 2021 without mention of our founder Callum, and his amazing work on the inclusive Santa’s Grotto project. As parents to Hudson, a 5 year old that suffers from a rare Mitochondrial disease, Callum and his wife wanted to bring the magic of Christmas to children with special needs and their families.
By creating a totally free, fully accessible, inclusive environment (and even stepping in as Santa himself), Callum and his incredible team of volunteers did just that. Sadly, the grotto is now closed owing to the latest COVID-19 developments, but it’s safe to say that the project captured the festive spirit at its finest.
We’re sure Callum will be running the grotto again next year, bringing more joy to families across the region. In the meantime, he’ll be heading up the team as we work to push the boundaries of review collection even further in 2022.
From all of us, have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.
