If you’re a business owner who wants to appeal a negative review, please read this article: https://blog.reviews.io/post/how-to-remove-google-reviews-for-your-business.
Our opinions often evolve over time, and a review we leave in the moment may not fully reflect our true thoughts after some consideration. It’s natural to feel strongly, especially if you’re disappointed by a business, but remember: even one negative review can significantly impact a business's reputation.
In other cases, you may want to update a review you feel was overly positive. For example, perhaps you received excellent service on a first visit to a local shop, but on a return trip, you found the service lacking.
Updating your review to reflect your most recent experience provides others with a fair and balanced perspective.
Whatever the situation, your review has value. Other customers rely on it to gauge the quality of a business, so it’s essential that it accurately represents your experience. Here’s how to edit or delete your review on Google.
1. Log into your Google account on the device where you’d like to make the changes.
2. Head to https://maps.google.com.
3. Click on the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) on the left of the search bar.
4. Navigate to 'Your contributions'.
5. Click on the 'REVIEWS' tab.
6. Click on the three dots to the right of the review you wish to edit or delete.
7. Click 'Edit review' or 'Delete review' depending on which action you wish to perform. (If editing your review, be sure to click the 'Post' button once completed).
TIP: Quality reviews are detailed and specific! Not only can they help other customers make informed choices, but they can also help businesses improve. So, if your recent review could benefit from more specifics, now’s the time to enhance it.
