2022 in Review: A Year of Customer Centric Product Development

There’s no denying it. The tech industry is a male dominated field. Yes, small steps are being taken, but the fact is there’s still a significant gender gap, with stats showing that women make up less than one third of the global workforce in technology related fields.
The level of gender inequality varies across disciplines, with far fewer women employed in engineering and architecture roles. Look at software development in particular, and you’ll find that currently, around just 17% of developers worldwide are female.
At REVIEWS.io, we believe that initiatives like the Girls in Tech internship can help to create a more inclusive and diverse workforce. We’re committed to supporting gender diversity in the field and believe that by providing opportunities for young women to gain practical experience, we can help to inspire the next generation of women in tech.
So what exactly are we offering?
The REVIEWS.io Girls in Tech Internship is a two week summer placement here at our head office in Leicester City Center. The placement will begin on Monday 26th June 2023 and run until Friday 7th July.
As the successful applicant, you’ll get stuck in working with and supported by our established teams. During the first week, you’ll get to experience all aspects of our business and explore our products, working alongside wider teams including sales, marketing and customer support.
Week two will be spent with the development team, where you’ll have the opportunity to work on a specific project with a dedicated mentor.

We encourage applications from female-identifying individuals over 16 years of age, that have a demonstrable interest in working in software development and/or the wider tech industry. This includes students and graduates of Computer Science BSc (or similar), A-level Computer Science students (or similar) and self-taught individuals.
